Welcome to My World โ˜…

โ˜… We're closer now than ever before,
there's love in our world, and we're showing it more.
Our world says, โ€œWelcome, stranger;
everybody's a friend.
Favourite stories don't end
in our world.โ€

Risen Star is my personal space for capturing and organizing the ideas, values, and reflections that shape my life. Living with memory loss as a symptom of my neurological disorder means that having a place where I can gather my thoughts is essential for staying grounded. Here, I store everything from my reflections on science, history, philosophy, theology, and various creative mediums, to books I hope to read, along with the subjects of art and activity that bring me joy and strengthen my connections with loved ones. This collection of things that feel meaningful allows me to mark what I might otherwise forget.

More than a mere mental repository, here also serves as a means to preserve the parts of myself that might otherwise drift away on the current of day-to-day life like fallen leaves on a quiet stream. My essays and notes from my personal study offer a framework for how I engage with the world, while lists of books, ideas, interests, and hobbies are born from my curiosity and personal growth. Meditations on my connections with my loved ones remind me of the importance of family and community. These various aspects reflect who I am beyond my limitations, as I continue to build a life rich in purpose.

Although the website exists primarily as a personal tool, it also serves as an invitation for those who care about me. If you would like to, you can get a clearer view of what drives me, what I value, and where I find joy. Whether you're here to understand me better, for your own enjoyment, or just out of curiosity, feel free to explore to your heart's content. If something resonates with you, consider it a moment of shared connection.
